First leg at home for Michael O'Neill's side

Northern Ireland have been drawn against Switzerland in the FIFA World Cup Play-Offs.

Michael O'Neill's side were the first name out of the hat, with the draw done by ex Spain International Fernando Hierro, meaning they will face the Swiss at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park in the first leg.

They will then travel to Switzerland for the second leg. Dates are yet to be confirmed.

On the draw, manager Michael O'Neill said: "Whoever we got we knew it was going to be a difficult game. Switzerland have had a great qualifying campaign, nine victories and one defeat, but I think it gives us the opportunity to go to Russia.

"We have to be in the first game in Belfast but we look forward to the games and know we will have to be at our best."
