Every week across Northern Ireland thousands give up their time and effort to provide footballing opportunities for people of all ages, ability and ethnicity.
They organise fixtures, coach, referee, run committees and more. People and Clubs is the Irish FA Foundation's programme for people in clubs.
The People and Clubs development plan was designed in 2018 so that its outputs accurately reflect the views and aspirations of clubs.
It also takes into account the views of organisations that support clubs including: Sport NI, council sports development teams, activity providers, universities and the Department for Communities as well as the Irish FA Foundation staff who will play a role in its implementation.
We see this as an exciting, innovative and ever-evolving programme.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a further realisation on the need to provide digital resources. This has been met within the People and Clubs programme by further developing People and Clubs accreditation and running a series of free webinars for clubs. The programme will continue to develop by adding further online resources, accessible and useful to all people in clubs in Northern Ireland.
