Digital programme for Women’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia is now live

The Irish Football Association’s digital matchday programme for this evening’s FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 qualifier between Northern Ireland and Latvia is now live.

The e-programme features Northern Ireland senior women’s team manager Kenny Shiels’ thoughts ahead of the match at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park – and his reflections on the victory over Luxembourg last week.

In his Manager’s View column in the programme, he says: “We come into the game in great spirits following our 4-0 victory over Luxembourg Women in Larne on Friday night.

“In contrast Latvia had a tough European Qualifying Group D opener, losing heavily against Austria.

“That defeat will no doubt have dented their confidence, however I am certain they will want to bounce back from it as quickly as possible, so we will have to be on our guard tonight.”

He also says his team must approach the match “with the correct mindset”.

And he adds: “We are in a great place with our team right now and an eighth successive (competitive) win is a fantastic target for us to aim for in Belfast tonight.”

The digital programme also contains the squad line-ups for both Northern Ireland Women and Latvia Women – plus a welcome to the match from Irish FA President Conrad Kirkwood.

In addition there’s a picture gallery from the senior women’s team’s 4-0 success against Luxembourg Women in front of circa 1500 fans at Inver Park.
