The Irish FA is offering opportunities for players to trial for the Northern Ireland international futsal squad. The team recently competed in the Futsal Home Nations Championship in Wales and will be participating in international friendlies throughout 2017.
Those interested in being considered for selection should complete the online form by clicking here and state which trial date and venue is most suitable.
Selection criteria is as follows:
A player who is eligible to represent more than one Association on account of his nationality may play in an international match for one of these associations only if, in addition to having the relevant nationality, he fulfils at least one of the following conditions:
a) He was born on the territory of the relevant association;
b) His biological mother or biological father was born on the territory of the relevant
association;
c) His grandmother or grandfather was born on the territory of the relevant association;
d) The player has undertaken primary and/or secondary education for a minimum of five years in
the territory of the relevant association.
Trials are taking place on the following dates:
Sunday 19 February – 15:00 to 16:30 – Belfast Model School for Girls, Belfast
Sunday 12 March – 16:00 to 17:30 – Epicentre Youth Centre, Armagh
Sunday 9 April – 12:00 to 13:30 – Lagan Valley LeisurePlex, Lisburn
Sunday 30 April – 12:00 to 13:30 – Foyle Futsal Centre, Derry/Londonderry
