Penalty shoot-out and comprehensive win seals Electric Ireland Women's Challenge Cup Finalists

Linfield Ladies battle through to the Women's Challenge Cup Final after a penalty shoot-out semi-final victory against Sion Swift Ladies.

The evenly matched game finished 0-0 at Mill Meadow and after extra time it was Linfield Ladies that came through on top winning 4-3 on penalties.

Sion Swift Ladies said: "Abosloutley devastated to lose tonights semi-final on penalties but immensely proud of how our girls battled with every ounce of energy that they had. Today wasn't our day and we will accept defeat and return to fight even more."

On the other side of the draw Glentoran Women produced a fine display to earn a 5-1 semi final win over Cliftonville Ladies at Bangor Fuels Arena and send themselves into the final of the Electic Ireland Women's Challenge Cup.

The Glentoran goals came from Ali McMaster (2), Rachel Rogan (2) and Caragh Milligan.

Substitute Niamh Connolly scored the only goal for Cliftonville Ladies.

Glentoran Women will play Linfield Ladies in the final of the Electric Ireland Women's Challenge Cup.
