The Irish FA Foundation has launched its Summer 2021 Football Camps.
The week-long camps, which are part of the foundation’s grassroots football development programme, are being staged across Northern Ireland in July and August. There will be 74 camps in total.
Camps are being held in each of Northern Ireland’s 11 council areas – and there will be girls only camps in each area.
There are set to be five camps in Antrim and Newtownabbey, seven in North Down and Ards, five in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon and 12 in the Belfast City Council area (five in Belfast North and West and five in Belfast South and East).
Causeway Coast and Glens is hosting six camps this summer, while there will also be six camps in Derry and Strabane and the same number in Fermanagh and Tyrone.
Seven camps are being staged in Lisburn and Castlereagh in July and August, Mid and East Antrim is hosting six, Mid-Ulster is hosting seven and there will be seven camps in Newry, Mourne and Down, too.
The sessions provide opportunities for children aged 5-13 to develop and improve their football skills in a structured environment with professionally trained and vetted staff.
Places at the camps are available at a special discounted price of £42 if booked online for one child or £72 for two children, £92 for three children and £112 for four kids from the same family.
Amanda Morton from the Irish FA Foundation said: “Our team of Let Them Play officers, coaches and volunteers are looking forward to staging the camps.
“There will be strict Covid protocols in place at each venue, however we are confident we will still be able to deliver an action-packed and fun-packed programme in July and August.”
