Irish FA statement: Covid-19 update

In light of last week’s easing of Covid-19 restrictions announcement by the Northern Ireland Executive (20 May), the Irish Football Association can confirm the following key points:

  • Spectators can return from today.  There is a limit of 500 and to determine how many spectators can attend, a risk assessment must be carried out.  Spectators should continue to adhere to regulations including social distancing 
  • Limited use of changing facilities is permitted
  • Indoor squad training can take place

We continue to encourage everyone in the football family and beyond to practise good hand hygiene, social distancing and wear a face mask
