Northern Ireland team to face Bulgaria

Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough has named his team for tonight’s FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifier against Bulgaria.

The manager has made nine changes to the line-up which kicked off against the USA on Sunday with George Saville and Daniel Ballard the only players retaining their place in the starting eleven.

Captain Steven Davis returns to the starting line-up to win a record-breaking 126th cap to eclipse Peter Shilton’s long-standing record in the men’s game.

Tonight’s starting XI: Peacock-Farrell, Cathcart, J. Evans, D. Ballard, Lewis, McNair, Davis (c), Saville, Dallas, Saville, Whyte, Magennis.

Subs: Hazard, Hughes, McLaughlin, McGinn, Charles, Lafferty, Ferguson, C. Evans, Thompson, McCann, Smith, Kennedy.
