Crues and Larne kick off Electric Ireland Women's Challenge Cup quarter-finals

The Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup has reached the quarter-finals stage.

The last eight of the competition kicks off tonight with a Premiership side Crusaders Strikers taking on Championship winners Larne Women at home (8pm).

Standing between holders Glentoran Women and a place in the last four are NIWFA Division 1 side Ballyclare Comrades Ladies. The two sides meet on Friday evening.

The Glens are aiming to make it four competition wins on the spin following successes in 2021, 2019 and 2018. Covid-19 meant the 2020 decider was not played.

Elsewhere in the draw Premiership leaders Cliftonville Ladies take on Linfield Ladies in the tie of the round.

St James' Swifts have withdrawn from the competition. It means Sion Swifts progress to semi-finals stage.

Both games on Friday night are due to kick off at 7.30pm.
