The draw for the opening round of the 2019 Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup has been made.

The matches will be played on 13 May at 7pm with the ties and venues as follows;

PSNI Ladies v Chimney Corner Ladies, New Forge Lane

Lurgan Town Ladies v Killen Rangers Ladies, Gordon Playing Fields

Lisburn Ladies v Crewe United Ladies, Glenmore Activity Centre

Bangor Ladies - Carnmoney Ladies, Clandeboye Park

Downpatrick Ladies, Ballymacash Young Ladies, Portadown Ladies and St James Swifts received a bye through to the second round where the seeded teams will also join the competition.

As the domestic women’s season approaches excitement is building for the competition which saw Glentoran Belfast United claim their seventh title at National Football Stadium at Windsor Park last September.

Anne Smyth, PR & Sponsorship for Electric Ireland said: “We are delighted to be proud sponsor of the Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup, this is our third season involved and it is brilliant to see the competition improving every year.

"We are dedicated to working with the Irish FA to help improve the game for all girls and women across Northern Ireland.”
