Brunt And Mcauley: 50 Caps

We thought we would give you a breakdown on each of their international careers to date and how they made it to 50 caps.

Chris Brunt made his full international debut in a friendly against Switzerland in 2004. He made his 50th international appearance in the Euro 2016 Qualifying draw against Romania in June 2015. Brunt has played 3,551 minutes in total, making 42 starts and 10 substitute appearances.  From the fifty two games he has played, Brunt has won 12, drawn 20 and lost 20. His only international goal to date came against San Marino in a 3-0 World Cup Qualifying win in 2009.  

 

Gareth McAuley made his full international debut in a friendly against Germany in 2005. He made his 50th international appearance in the Euro 2016 Qualifying win against Greece in October 2014. McAuley has played 3,868 minutes in total, making 50 starts and 5 substitute appearances. From the fifty five games he has played, McAuley has won 15, drawn 16 and lost 24. His first international goal came in the same game as Chris Brunt’s, against San Marino in a 3-0 World Cup Qualifying win in 2009. McAuley’s last international goal came against the Faroe Islands in a 3-1 win on the 4th September 2015.
