Furness named as Show Your Heart ambassador for UEFA Women’s Euro 2022

Northern Ireland's Rachel Furness is part of a star-studded group of players supporting UEFA’s Show Your Heart campaign ahead of next year’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 tournament.

The campaign aims to drive record reach and engagement with the competition taking place in England from 6 July next year.

Furness was part of the Northern Ireland senior women's team who secured their spot in the tournament after a thrilling qualification campaign and a memorable two-legged play-off win over Ukraine.

Show Your Heart will showcase to the world the ‘quality, grit, determination and heart’ that the game's top women exhibit in their play. The campaign will also invite fans, new and old, to show their heart in return when the tournament kicks off next year.

“I’m delighted to be involved,” said Liverpool’s Furness. “The tournament as a whole is great exposure for the women’s game in Northern Ireland and this campaign is a key part of generating that buzz. We’ll be looking to unearth and profile fans young and old who can come on this exciting journey with us.”
