Two first half goals consigned Glenavon to a first leg defeat in this Europa League clash at Mourneview Park. Substitute Mark Patton scored for Glenavon in 86th mintue from an Eoin Bradley cross to keep the tie alive.
Glentoran 1-4 MSK Zilina
Glentoran face a huge task if they are to progress in Europe following this 4-1 home defeat to MSK Žilina. The visitors scored two goals in the first half, before adding a third just before the hour mark. The home side pulled one back on 66 minutes through new signing Conor McMenamin, before an own goal on 81 minutes made it 4-1 to Zilina.
The return legs will be played next Thursday (9 July).
