fonaCAB Junior Cup | Semi-finals recap

Cleary Celtic and Enniskillen Rangers will contest the fonaCAB Craig Stanfield Junior Cup final following semi-final defeats of Lincoln Courts and Tummery Athletic this week.

Representing the Carnbane League, Celtic were first through to the decider following a two-goal defeat of Lincoln Courts at Stangmore Park on Monday night.

Scoreless at the break, David Walker fired Celtic in front just after the hour with a low finish from the edge of the area after Declan Monaghan's initial effort had been beaten out by Lincoln keeper Ben Mills.

Lincoln carved out a couple of decent opportunities in an attempt to get back into the game, but they were ultimately undone with three minutes remaining when Cathal O'Reilly did well to get down the left and send over a low cross for Neil Barr to turn and emphatically fire into the net from around eight yards out.

The action moved to Ferney Park on Wednesday evening for the all Fermanagh & Western League clash between Enniskillen Rangers and Tummery Athletic.

Three goals in a stunning 17-minute spell in the first half mark did all the damage as Rangers followed up on their league victory between the sides in January.

Nathan Khan opened the scoring on 13 minutes with a stunning 25-yard finish inside the post after Ciaran Smith's initial ball into the box had been knocked out.

Then, six minutes after that, Mark Cutler doubled up for Rangers from point blank range after Jake Browne had cut the ball across into his path.

And Michael Kerr's side went even further ahead just over ten minutes after that with Joel Byrne getting his name on the scoresheet with a stunning effort from wide on the right over the head of keeper Niall McCrory into the far corner.

Tummery did pull one back through Padraig Dillon's lofted finish with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, but it was too little too late to spark what would have been a somewhat dramatic comeback.
