WU17 Euros set to kick off in Northern Ireland tomorrow

The UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship 2026 will kick off in Northern Ireland tomorrow (4 May).

The tournament, which is being hosted by the Irish FA, is an eight-team festival of women’s football showcasing some of the best young players in Europe.

Larne’s Inver Park, The Showgrounds in Coleraine and the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park in Belfast will all be hosting matches.

Northern Ireland are set to come up against England, Norway and Germany in Group A, while Group B features Spain, France, Poland and Finland. All group games are being played in either Larne or Coleraine.

The opening game of the tournament will see the Northern Ireland WU17 team, managed by Gail Redmond, take on England in Larne at 3pm tomorrow.

On Thursday (7 May) Redmond’s side will face Norway at Coleraine Showgrounds (6pm) and then it’s back to Inver Park in Larne for a game against Germany next Sunday (10 May) at 3pm.

The top two teams in each group (see all the fixtures below) will progress to the semi-finals, which are due to be played at the National Stadium on Thursday 14 May.

The final of WU17 Euro 2026 is pencilled in for Sunday 17 May at the National Stadium (6pm).

The semi-finalists automatically qualify for the 2026 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in Morocco. The two third-placed teams in groups A and B at WU17 Euro 2026 will play off on 14 May for Europe's fifth berth at that tournament.

Tickets for all the games at the WU17 Euros in Northern Ireland are available at irishfa.com/wu17euro.
