UEFA confirm Nations League tie v Georgia to be played behind closed doors

UEFA has confirmed that the UEFA Nations League fixture between Northern Ireland and Georgia, scheduled for Friday 25 September, will be played behind closed doors.

The decision has been taken by UEFA, with no supporters permitted to attend the match.

Chief Executive, Patrick Nelson, said:

“We will be liaising closely with all relevant stakeholders in the lead-up to the game.

“While it is naturally disappointing that our supporters will be unable to attend and back the team in person, the priority remains the safety and security of everyone involved. We know our fans will continue to show their outstanding support for the squad from home and across our digital channels.”

Further updates will be communicated in due course.
