
Northern Ireland’s Women’s Under-17s will play two friendlies next month as preparations for WU17 Euro 2026 step up a gear.
France and Republic of Ireland will provide the opposition for Gail Redmond’s side, with one game away and the other at home.
The Irish Football Association is set to host the UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship from 3 to 16 May next year.
Group games are scheduled to be played at Inver Park in Larne and Seaview in north Belfast, with the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park hosting matches in the latter stages of the tournament.
Northern Ireland WU17s boss Redmond has chosen a 20-strong squad for the two preparation games next month.
First up her side will face France next Wednesday (1 October) at Clairefontaine, the French Football Federation’s national training centre located 50km south-west of Paris (4pm kick-off local time).
Then it’s back home to Inver Park in Larne where they will take on the Republic on Sunday 5 October (3pm).
The players will be in camp in Belfast this weekend prior to jetting out to Paris next Monday for the game against their French counterparts.
The WU17s squad for the two games is as follows:

Defenders – Holly Hilton, Daisy Moore and Chloe Beckinsale (all Crusaders Strikers), Anayah Lee (Larne Women), Sasha Cowan (Bolton Wanderers Women), Ellie McGarrigle (Sion Swifts Ladies), Grace Steele (Glentoran Women).
Midfielders – Mirjana Karrabecaj and Charlotte Havern (both Linfield Women), Heidi Curran and Emilee Leacock (both Crusaders Strikers), Grace Campbell (Lisburn Rangers Ladies), Charley McMullan (Larne Women).
Forwards – Ava Hurl and Maja Stachura (both Crusaders Strikers), Annarose Robinson (Larne Women), Abbie Smyth (Lisburn Rangers Ladies), Ella Wasson (Derry City Women).
