The Irish Football Association has welcomed four new Life Members.
The quartet received their Life Member certificates at the latest meeting of the Irish FA Council.
Irish FA President Conrad Kirkwood presented them with the certificates and thanked them for supporting football in Northern Ireland.
They included Alistair Gray and Dessie Bradley, who were council members previously as well as members of association committees for 10-plus years.
Also becoming Life Members were David Malcolm and Michael Ross, who were members of the Irish FA’s Referees’ Committee for more than 10 years.
Alistair Gray is a member of the Co Antrim FA and his club is Dromara Village in Co Down, while Dessie Bradley is a member of the North West FA. His club is Coleraine-based Tullans FC Red Star.
Both Michael Ross and David Malcolm are former top referees who have been involved in promoting and supporting refereeing for decades.
To be eligible to become a Life Member of the association you must either be on council or on an association committee for a minimum of 10 years.
Members of the Irish FA Council are nominated by the various divisional associations, with other delegates drawn from senior (NIFL) clubs, the referees’ association and a variety of the other constituent parts of the game here, including fan representation via the Amalgamation of Official Northern Ireland Supporters’ Clubs.
