Venues confirmed for home Northern Ireland U21 Euro qualifiers

The venues have been confirmed for Northern Ireland Under-21s’ final two home fixtures in their 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign.

Tommy Wright’s side will welcome Georgia to Ballymena Showgrounds on Thursday 1 October, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

Five days later, Northern Ireland will take on Greece at Mourneview Park on Tuesday 6 October, with that game kicking off at 5pm.

The two fixtures will bring Northern Ireland’s Group F campaign to a close following an away game against Malta on Saturday 26 September in Ta’ Qali at the Centenary Stadium.

Northern Ireland currently sit third in Group F with 10 points from seven matches, having recorded three wins and a draw during the campaign so far.

Germany lead the group ahead of Greece, with both teams currently on 18 points, while Georgia sit one point behind Northern Ireland in fourth.

The nine qualifying group winners and the runner-up with the best record will qualify directly for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals in Albania and Serbia. The remaining eight runners-up will progress to play-offs in November for the final four places at the tournament.

Wright’s squad continued their preparations for the decisive autumn qualifying window with an international challenge match against Portugal in June, which provided an opportunity for several new faces to gain experience at Under-21 level.

Ticket information for both home qualifiers will be announced soon. Keep an eye on Northern Ireland’s social media channels for further details.

Supporters unable to attend will also be able to watch both home games live on the Northern Ireland YouTube channel.
