The Irish FA is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Council member Brian White after a short period of illness.
Brian devoted much of his life to football, serving with distinction as an Irish FA Council Member and making a significant contribution to the game through a range of roles, including with the Northern Amateur Football League (NAFL), the County Antrim Football Association and Barn United, where he served as Club Secretary. He also spent time as an Irish FA Tour Guide, joining the team when the Education and Heritage Centre opened in 2017 and sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport with countless visitors.
Irish FA President, Conrad Kirkwood, said:
“Brian was a true football man who made a significant contribution to the game as a player, a dedicated Northern Ireland supporter and a respected administrator.
“He was a familiar and much-loved presence at Northern Ireland matches, and supporters will fondly remember his brilliant outfits which reflected his passion, personality and unwavering support for the team.
“His passing will be deeply felt across all strands of the game, and our thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.”
