WU16s to take on Scotland twice this month

A Northern Ireland Women’s Under-16 development side will be facing their Scottish counterparts twice later this month.

Two friendlies against Scotland WU16s have been lined up as part of an international camp for the development players.

The games have been pencilled in for Tuesday 14 April and Friday 17 April. Both games are being staged at Greenisland FC’s ground in Co Antrim, and both will have 1pm starts.

Northern Ireland WU16s head coach Danielle McDowell Tuffey (pictured) has selected a 20-player squad for the two games. She will be assisted by Julie Nelson.

Entry is free to both matches in Greenisland.

The squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers – Saskia McLaughlin (Linfield Women), Beth Peoples (Cliftonville Ladies).

Defenders – Autumn Edgar and Anayah Lee (both Cliftonville Ladies), Grace Steele and Abigail Fitzsimmons (both Glentoran Women), Ellie-Mae Turner and Lacey Mai McVicker (both Linfield Women), Caitlin Shields (Crusaders Strikers), Sasha Cowan (Bolton Wanderers).

Midfielders – Grace Murray and Anna Smyth (both Lisburn Rangers Ladies), Grace Guest and Alexandra McKinnon (both Crusaders Strikers), Daisy-Lee Anderson (Glentoran Women).

Forwards – Annarose Robinson, Abigail Curley and Charley McMullan (all Cliftonville Ladies), Niamh McDaid (Derry City Women), Annabelle Shaw (Glentoran Women).
