Michael O’Neill has chosen a 26-strong squad for next month’s international challenge matches against Denmark and Iceland.
Northern Ireland are due to play the Danes in a friendly at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on Saturday 7 June (6pm BST).
And that game will be followed by an international challenge match against Iceland at the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park on Tuesday 10 June (7.45pm).
The Northern Ireland manager’s panel for the games shows a handful of changes from the senior men’s squad originally chosen for the friendlies against Switzerland and Sweden in March.
Back in the squad are Sunderland defender Daniel Ballard, Liverpool defender Conor Bradley, Preston North End midfielder Alistair McCann and St Mirren midfielder Caolan Boyd-Munce. Ballard, Bradley and McCann were missing last time due to injury, while Boyd-Munce was on the standby list.
Also back is Huddersfield Town striker Dion Charles, who was a late withdrawal from the squad for the games in March due to injury.
Leyton Orient attacking midfielder Jamie Donley has retained his place in the panel. Donley, who was a late call-up in the last international window and made his senior international debut against the Swiss, is currently on loan at the O’s from Tottenham Hotspur.
Also retaining his place in the squad is Ross County striker Ronan Hale, who received his first call-up in March, too.
Not included are Bolton Wanderers defender Eoin Toal, a late withdrawal last time arounddue to injury, and Motherwell defender Kofi Balmer, who replaced Toal in the panel in March but is now nursing a hamstring injury.
Also missing out are Oxford United defender Ciaron Brown, Rangers winger Ross McCausland and midfielder Jordan Thompson, who has just signed for Preston North End from fellow Championship outfit Stoke City.
Northern Ireland are due to train in Marbella in Spain for four days ahead of the friendly against the Danes.
The international challenge matches will help O’Neill, his coaching staff and his players prepare for FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers this autumn when they will face Germany, Slovakia and Luxembourg.
