
A Northern Ireland Under-14 girls’ development squad will be taking part in the Foyle Cup later this month.
An 18-strong squad is set to compete in the international youth football tournament – in the boys’ U13 section. The girls will be coached by Stephen Graham, who will be assisted by Heather Mearns.
Their first game at the 2025 Foyle Cup, on Monday 21 July in Group K, will see them take on Belfast side St Malachy’s OB Cosmos at St Columb’s Stadium in Derry-Londonderry (3pm kick-off).
The following day they will face Co Tyrone side Tummery Athletic in Donemana (1pm), while their final group game is against another Tyrone team, Strabane Athletic, at the Melvin Arena in Strabane on Wednesday 23 July (1pm).
The WU14 side will play further games at the tournament later that week which will determine overall positions in their section.
Hundreds of teams from across the island of Ireland, Britain, continental Europe and North America are set to take part in the week-long Foyle Cup.
Sponsored by sportswear firm O’Neills, and run in association with Derry City and Strabane District Council, the 2025 tournament features 21 categories, ranging from U8 to U19 for boys’ teams plus nine girls’/ladies sections.
Each year Foyle Cup matches are staged across Northern Ireland's North-West and in Co Donegal.
The Northern Ireland WU14 squad for this year’s tournament is as follows:
Goalkeepers – Ifeoma Agoha (Larne Women), Chloe Morrison (Shorts Women).
Defenders – Sophia Gill and Darcy Grayson (both Larne Women), Molly Gray (Derry City Women), Gracey Livingston (Linfield Women), Eva Dunlop (Ballyclare Comrades Ladies), Katie McKenna (Crusaders Strikers).
Midfielders – Lauren Kirkpatrick (Linfield Women), Lara Longridge (Larne Women), Zion Donnan (Crusaders Strikers), Leah Hepburn (Loughgall), Cara McVeigh (Mid Ulster Ladies).
Forwards – Aoife Conlon and Ella Kitson (both Larne Women), Emilie Sylvester (Linfield Women), Saoirse Devine (Lisbellaw United), Lydia Devlin (Hanover).
