The draw has been made for the quarter-finals of this season’s Cathedral Eye Clinic Futsal Cup.

The four matches, featuring teams from across Northern Ireland, are set to be played on Sunday 22March and the tie of the round is Belfast United against Rosario as the two teams are still competing to become Northern Ireland Futsal League champions for 2019-20.

The draw for the last eight was staged at the cup sponsor’s headquarters in Belfast. Cathedral Eye Clinic general manager Gary McArdle and business development manager Robbie Maye did the honours.

The full list of fixtures for 22 March is:

Omagh Futsal Club v Gullion Hounds Futsal Club (Omagh Leisure Centre, KO 14:15)

Belfast United v Rosario Futsal Club (Shankill Leisure Centre, Belfast KO 12:45)

United LT Futsal Club (2) v Afrimeripean Futsal Club (Craigavon Leisure Centre, KO 15:15)

World United Futsal Club vs Belfast Iberians Futsal Club (Shankill Leisure Centre, KO 14:45)

After the draw Gary McArdle said: “We are delighted to host and deliver the draw for the quarter-finals of the Cathedral Eye Clinic Futsal Cup.

“There is no doubt that the global sport of futsal is going from strength to strength both nationally and regionally with the Northern Ireland men’s and women’s teams playing in Euro qualifiers and in international friendlies.

“The local futsal scene is also buzzing with fast and frenetic matches happening every weekend in the league and now the cup. Good luck to all eight teams involved in what will be four highly competitive spectacles.”
