Digital programme for play-off against Ukraine now live

The Irish Football Association’s digital matchday programme for tonight’s Women’s Euro 2022 play-off match (second leg) between Northern Ireland and Ukraine is now live.

The e-programme features Northern Ireland senior women’s team manager Kenny Shiels’ thoughts ahead of the massive match at Seaview.

It also contains the squad line-ups for both Northern Ireland Women and Ukraine Women – plus a welcome to the match from Irish FA President David Martin.

In addition there’s an extensive picture gallery plus a match report from the first leg of the play-off in Kovalivka on Friday night, which underdogs Northern Ireland won 2-1.

And there’s a page featuring 11 virtual mascots who have been nominated by friends and family members.

The eight-page programme also has a section for junior fans which features a colouring-in competition along with a competition focusing on match statistics.

Tonight’s game (7.45 start) is being played behind closed doors due to Covid restrictions, however it is being shown live on BBC 2 Northern Ireland, BBC Red Button and BBC iPlayer, with coverage starting at 7.30. Stephen Watson will be the main presenter, while former Northern Ireland international Nicola McCarthy is set to be pitchside.

For both countries there is a huge prize at stake: a place at Women’s Euro 2022 in England.
