Goalscorer Gary Liggett says it’s “absolutely fantastic” that Loughgall have beaten Glenavon to reach the semi-finals of this season’s Tennent’s Irish Cup.
The Mourneview Park clash was the only Tennent’s Irish Cup quarter-final tie to be played today as the other three fell foul to the adverse weather conditions.
Goals from Dale Montgomery and Liggett secured a cup upset for the Co Armagh club and Liggett says the victory should give everyone in the team the belief needed for the next round of the competition.
