Wright played in goal for Northern Ireland on 31 occasions, captaining the side three times.
"If you are a player, you want to get to the highest level, I believe the highest level is international football. To play for my country was a great honour, and something I've worked extremely hard for.
"I look back with a lot of pride. If I would have got one cap I would have been happy, but to get 31 and captain the side on three occasions I look back with a lot of satisfaction."
