Irish FA and Science in Sport agree partnership

The world’s leading performance nutrition brand has become an Official Performance Nutrition Supplier to the Irish Football Association.

Under the partnership agreement Science in Sport (SiS) will provide performance nutrition solutions to Northern Ireland’s various international teams, from senior men’s, senior women’s and the men’s U21, U19 and U17 sides to women’s U19s and U17s and the JD Academy.

SiS combines world class knowledge and scientific formulations to provide optimal performance solutions across the nutritional need states of energy, hydration, and recovery.

Since 1992 the company has fuelled Olympians, world record holders and world champions, from cyclists to swimmers and heptathletes to runners.

“We are delighted to be partnering with the Irish FA, providing the players with world class nutritional support and the latest innovations to fuel their training and competition,” said Tom Rose, Global Head Elites, Science in Sport.

And Ricky McCann, sports scientist for the Northern Ireland senior men's team, said: “Good performance nutrition is key to helping players perform in intense competitive environments and then to recover afterwards.

“Science in Sport’s products will help to boost our players’ energy levels, keep their hydration levels where they should be and aid their recovery after games.”

Providing a range of nutrition solutions, including hydro bars, isotonic energy gels and recovery protein powder, SiS is an official supplier or partner to more than 320 professional sports teams and institutions globally.

The Irish FA will work closely with SiS and have access to the SIS Elite and SIS Elite Partner Range.

SiS currently has partnerships with INEOS Grenadiers , Milwaukee Bucks (2021 NBA champions), Tottenham Hotspur, Elite Running team and Gotytom Gebresealase, OGC Nice and NYC FC football clubs.
