Intermediate Cup | Third Round review and draw update

The McComb's Coach Travel Intermediate Cup continued this weekend with seven more third-round games that had been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions a week ago.

The all NIFL Premier Intermediate League clash at Mill Meadow between Moyola Park and Dollingstown saw the visitors trail by two goals at the break before storming back to win in extra-time.

Ian Parkhill hit a first-half double to put Moyola into a strong position but goals from Gary Liggett and Jonathan Ewart brought the Dollybirds back onto level terms before Dale Malone hit the 93rd-minute winner.

At Crystal Park Stephen McCavitt bagged a hat-trick as Banbridge Town twice came from behind to defeat Greenisland.

Matthew Sinclair edged Greenisland in front after just seven minutes before McCavitt levelled just before the half-hour mark.

Shaun Richards restored the visitors' lead soon after but McCavitt knocked home his second in first-half stoppage time. With 12 minutes remaining he grabbed his third of the afternoon and the eventual winner.

Limavady United had no such issues on their way to a 4-1 victory over Valley Rangers at The Showgrounds.

Goals from Alex Pomeroy and Caleb Wan handed the Roesiders a two-goal half-time lead with Gareth McFadden adding a third on 54 minutes. Steven Patterson reduced the deficit for Rangers just after the hour but Wan made sure for United with just over ten minutes to go.

Donegal Celtic hit five goals without reply past Chimney Corner. Three goals to the good midway through the first half thanks to James Mullan and a Francis Dugan brace, the Hoops underlined their advantage late in the game courtesy of Sean Morelli and Conall Delaney.

Mossley also scored five on their way past Moneyslane at Inver Park. Kurt Cooper, Joshua Green, Taylor Agnew (with two) and Sebastian Manea all registered while Ryan Shilliday grabbed a consolation for Moneyslane.

Elsewhere, Newtowne progressed courtesy of a 3-0 penalty shoot-out win over Wakehurst while St. Oliver Plunkett accounted for Richhill AFC.
