Bangor almost caused an upset but ultimately fell to Carrick Rangers via a penalty shoot-out defeat at the Loughshore Hotel Arena.
Carrick are now set to play Larne tomorrow night in the quarter finals of the Irish Cup. Niall Currie will be demanding more from his players after having this to say about their first half display on Saturday.
"With the opportunity to get into a quarter final of an Irish Cup, you certainly need more than what we showed in the first half today. Thankfully, we started well in the second half."
