Striker Conor Washington delighted with late goal in Estonia

Half-time substitute Conor Washington is delighted with his first international goal since 2017.

His 77th minute equaliser came just three minutes before Josh Magennis made it 2-1 at the Le Coq Arena, Tallinn.

Conor revealed how happy he was to get on the score-sheet for Northern Ireland again:

"I'm delighted but the result is the most important thing. We want to get 12 points and now we've gave ourselves a good chance to do that."

Washington said how much of an impact Michael O'Neill's half-time team talk had on the team: "A lot of it was the half-time team talk, we wanted to be more direct and create more chances in the second half.

"He said to me go out there and do what you do, run about and try and cause some problems. Hopefully I managed to do that and put myself in his mind for Tuesday."

Northern Ireland take on Belarus on Tuesday in a EURO 2020 qualifier. Kick-off 19:45 BST.
