2018 Northern Ireland Football Awards winners

Northern Ireland U21 international, Gavin Whyte, was the big winner at local football’s gala awards which were held last night (7 May).

The Crusaders player picked up the Danske Bank player of the year and Dream Spanish Homes young player of the year.

Jonny Evans received the International personality of the year, while women’s football personality of the year was 17-year old Linfield and Northern Ireland goalkeeper Lauren Perry.

Jimmy Nicholl, who won 73 caps for Northern Ireland and who played at the World Cups in 1982 and 1986 was inducted into the Malcolm Brodie Hall of Fame.
