Intermediate Ground Improvement Project
The Club Licensing and Facilities Department, in conjunction with the Intermediate Committee, undertook ground inspections against the revised Intermediate Football Ground Criteria at 139 grounds in October 2007. Only 23 clubs passed this criteria, which highlighted the significant level of need for facility improvements.
As a result a total of €500,000 from the UEFA HatTrick II Assistance Programme has been allocated to facility improvement projects for Intermediate clubs.
Application forms and Guidance notes have now been released. Completed application forms and supporting documents must be returned by Friday 25 July 2008. Any applications received after this date will not be accepted.
The eligibility criteria for this project are as follows:
1)Those Intermediate level clubs in season 2007/08 or approved members for 2008/09 which do not already meet all elements of the revised Intermediate Football ground criteria for season 2009/10 are eligible to apply.
2)The programme is not open to PIL or IPL Reserve teams/grounds.
·PIL clubs are those clubs which are (or are subsequently) approved for entry into the PIL in season 2008/09.
·IPL Reserve clubs are those reserve teams of clubs approved for entry into the IPL/IFAP in season 2008/09
·Clubs having applied for Soccer Strategy funding are not eligible to apply
·Clubs which ground share with any club which is considered ineligible as per the above are also ineligible to enter the programme
3)Clubs must be able to demonstrate ownership of the ground
OR
must have a user/lease agreement in place for 3 years from season
2008/09
OR
must demonstrate at least 3 consecutive years tenancy at the venue to include past and future seasons, BUT MUST INCLUDE a user/lease agreement for season 2008/09.

The deadline for compliance with the revised Intermediate Football Ground Criteria for season 2009/10 remains as 30 April 2009.
