What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is a means by which Media Files (mainly Audio and Video - but also Documents) can be distributed using the internet. The User "subscribes" to a Podcast feed using Podcatcher software (most commonly iTunes). The software automatically looks for new episodes of a podcast.
It downloads the file and stores it on your PC. You can listen to the podcast on the PC or you can transfer the file to an MP3 player. You don't need an iPod to listen to the podcast. Any PC or MP3 player will play it. The podcast will normally download in about 10 seconds. Some connections may take longer.
What are RSS Podcast Feeds?
Podcasts are audio or video files that you download to your personal computer so that you can listen to or view them, whenever and wherever you choose. Our RSS podcast feeds make it easy for you to subscribe and automatically receive all of our podcasts. You can even use the podcast feeds to automatically transfer updates to a portable media player, such as the Apple iPod.
How do I subscribe to and listen to a Podcast?
You can subscribe using a podcast reader, sometimes called a Podcatcher.
Most podcast reader applications will also allow you to view the downloaded files. Transfer the files to a portable media player and enjoy them "To Go". A list of Podcatchers can be found on Google or Yahoo. If you own an Apple iPod, we recommend subscribing using iTunes
How do I download?
If you would rather not subscribe, you can download individual episodes of this podcast to your computer.
To do this, right click on the "Download Episode" link and choose "Save Target As...", "Save Link As...", or a similar option.
Mac users may need to hold CTRL and click, then select "Download Linked File".
You should then be asked where to save the episode on your computer.
