PORTADOWN FC APPEAL
Portadown Football club lodged an appeal against the IFA Executive Committee’s decision not to include the club’s application in the IFA Invitational League process.
The IFA Executive Committee made the decision based on the fact that the club submitted their application after the stipulated deadline.
Portadown Football Club’s appeal against the decision was heard by an IFA Appeals Board on Monday 12 May 2008. The IFA Appeals Board, after hearing lengthly and detailed submissions from Portadown Football Club, unanimously agreed to reject Portadown Football Club’s appeal on the basis that the required documentation was not submitted on or before the deadline set by the Association. Therefore the original decision made by the IFA Executive Committee on Wednesday 30 April 2008 remains valid.
