Limavady United appealed against the decision of the IFA Licensing Committee (First Instance Body) to refuse to issue them a Domestic Licence for Season 2008/09.
This Appeal was heard by the Licensing Appeals Body chaired by Finbar Lavery (Barrister at Law) on Thursday 8 May.
Limavady United argued that they should be allowed an additional discretionary period to enable them to finalise their submission for a licence due to the exceptional circumstances they found themselves in following the resignation of their Club Secretary.
The Appeals Body having heard all the evidence decided that to maintain the integrity of the whole process which by necessity is governed by tight timelines these must be adhered to and therefore the appeal was dismissed and the decision of the Licensing Committee upheld.
