THE Northern Ireland Under 18 Learning Disability squad will be in Scotland next week for the Home Nations Tournament.
The team will play Scotland on Monday and the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday, while Scotland and the Republic of Ireland will play each other on Tuesday.
The squad was selected after Regional Games for schools catering for Moderate Learning Difficulties.
In the 2007 Home Nations Tournament the Northern Ireland team finished second behind England. The England squad is not competing in this year’s competition as they are involved in another tournament.
“Eleven of Northern Ireland’s squad of 16 played in last year’s tournament so we have good experience at this level and are looking forward to playing the other countries after a successful coaching and preparation programme,” said IFA Disability Football Manager, Alan Crooks.
Good to look to the squad for next week’s Home Nations Tournament.
