FIFA Referee David Malcolm is one of N Ireland’s most experienced officials and is taking charge of his second local final this season, having already refereed the CIS Insurance Cup Final.
The match officials for the Co Antrim Shield Final between Cliftonville and Lisburn Distillery on Tuesday 23 January are as follows
Referee is David Malcolm from Bangor; his Assistant Referees are Paul Munn (Lisburn) and Billy McClean (Belfast), with Robert Penney (Carrickfergus) as the 4th official.
Paul Munn is in his fourth season as a FIFA Assistant Referee and recently represented N Ireland at a UEFA seminar for Assistant Referees in Geneva.
Premier League Assistant Referee Billy McClean is officiating in his first domestic senior final and this is due reward for his commitment and dedication to local football for many years
Completing the team is 4th official Robert Penney who is in his last season in senior football. Robert is an ex FIFA Assistant Referee and current a Premier League referee and he has served local football with distinction over many years
