DAVIS CLEANS UP AT VILLA AWARDS

MIDFIELDER Steve Davis was the big winner last night as Aston Villa announced their awards for the 2005-06 season.
Although it was a disappointing campaign for the club Steve's worth was demonstrated when, after his first full season, he picked up no fewer than three gongs.
At the ceremony, held in the Holte Suite, he was named Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Players Young Player of the Year.
Davis clocked up 40 appearances for Villa in all competitions, knocking homeeight goals along the way.
