REFEREE BEGINNERS' CLASSES

HAVE you ever thought about becoming a referee? Well if you have, now is the time to stop thinking and instead set your mind on making 2012 the year that you become the ‘man or the woman in the middle’.

The Irish FA has just announced details of up and coming beginners’ classes.

Thursday evenings: 16 and 23 February; March 1 and 8.

PORTADOWN FC

Shamrock Park, Portadown

Monday evenings: 27 February; 5, 12 and 19 March

BAWNACRE LEISURE CENTRE

Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh

Tuesday evenings: 21 and 28 February; 6 and 13 March

19.00 – 22.00hrs

RICHVIEW REGENERATION CENTRE, 337 Donegall Road, Belfast, BT12 6FQ

Sunday’s: 25 March and 1 April

11.00 – 17.00hrs

 

Cost of the course is £50.00 which includes the referee registration fee for season 2011–2012, Laws of the Game book, and a referee starter pack.  Cost of the course for students in full-time education is £30.00.  Participants only need to register with the Referee Instructor on the first day of the course.

 

On completion of the course candidates will be eligible to referee at youth and junior levels in local football.
