STEPHEN Grange has been appointed as the Irish FA’s Integrity Officer in addition to his role as National Security Officer.

This UEFA driven initiative seeks to protect the integrity of football throughout Europe and requires each National Association to address this problem within its own legislative framework.
Welcoming the appointment, Irish FA President Jim Shaw said: “Stephen has proved to be a very effective National Security Officer and will bring valuable experience to the newly created role of Integrity Officer. This is a clear indication of our resolve to ensure football in Northern Ireland is not manipulated and its integrity is maintained.”
The role of the IFA’s Integrity Officer covers the following areas:
· Liaison with UEFA
· Preventative and educational programmes
· Liaison with local law enforcement agencies
· Liaison with Betting organisations
· Review local football regulations to ensure compliance with UEFA
· Collation and sharing of information with players, staff, club officials and referees.
