THE tall Fermanagh-born striker ended his first full season as a professional in May 2006 with a call-up to the Northern Ireland senior side for the team's two-match US tour.
Kyle was a prolific scorer with NFC Kesh in the Fermanagh & Western League, before being signed by by the Lancashire club as an apprentice in the summer of 2004 and upon his arrival at the club he immediately started to make an impression in both the youth and reserve teams.
At the beginning of the 2005 / 2006 season he went out on loan to Darlington to gain experience and during his time with club, he scored three goals in nine appearances.
Kyle is starting to make a name for himself both at club and international level.
Although only 20, he has already picked up 16 senior caps and in August 2006 he scored his first goal for Northern Ireland during the team's friendly against Finland in Helsinki.
His second goal came against Liechtenstein in a Euro 2008 qualifier at Windsor Park in August this year in a 3-1 win.
Kyle scored his third goal coming against Sweden at the Rasunda Stadium in Solna in October - a goal which earned Northern Ireland a draw in the Euro 2008 qualifier.
In the Nationwide International against Georgia at Windsor Park in March 2008, he added another two goals to his international tally.
