RYAN is the sort of player that every manager would love to have in his team as the versatile youngster can play in either defence or midfield.

Last season Under-17 coach Kenny Shiels mainly used him in a central midfield role, though he has also filled in at right-back and on the right side of midfield when required.

Ryan, who joined the youth ranks at the Oval from Greenisland Boys in August 2004, is not only a good passer of the ball, but he can always be relied upon to give 100% commitment in every match he plays.
