SAMMY Clingan joined Nottingham Forest from Wolves in January 2006 and at in May 2006 he won his first two senior caps for Northern Ireland on the team's US tour.
The young Belfast born man certainly made an impression on Northern Ireland manager, Lawrie Sanchez, during the tour and as a result of his performances in America he was called-up for the start of the team's Euro 2008 qualifying campaign. Clingan played a key role in the team's campaign.
On July 1, 2008 he joined Norwich City.
