DAVID made an immediate impression on his debut for the under-19 side when he scored Northern Ireland's equalising goal in a memorable 1-1 draw with Italy - since then he has moved up to the U21 squad, winning 13 caps.
The Rochdale-born teenager, whose father is from Belfast, only came to the attention of the under-19 management team when his cousin, Lisburn Distillery's Wayne Buchanan, recommended him.
David, has come through the youth system at Gigg Lane after previously being with Bolton Wanderers as a schoolboy. He is a left-sided midfielder who is a tireless worker and an excellent crosser.
