LIMAVADY United defeated Ballyclare Comrades 5-1 at Dixon Park to complete the Coca-Cola Intermediate Cup fifth round line-up.

Man-of-the-match Gareth McConaghie opened the scoring for the Roesiders as early as the fifth minute.

Trevor Parkhill then added a second barely four minutes later as the visitors threatened to run away with the game.

The Comrades reduced the arrears through Stephen McDowell just after the half-hour mark but any hopes of a revival were dashed before the break when Paul Harbinson was dismissed following a second bookable offence.

Cathair Friel added to Limavady's lead with goals on 67 and 75 minutes before Trevor Hutchinson completed the scoring with three minutes remaining.

Davy Platt's side travel to Ards Rangers in the next round, scheduled for 18th February.
