SHARED ACCESS PROJECT

Release Date: 22/12/2011

THE Irish FA has unveiled an exciting new facilities project. Facilitated by the Association, the Shared Access project is open to all clubs across Northern Ireland.

Flood Lighting / Telecom Initiative

Shared Access is a leader in building, owning and operating shared wireless infrastructure and through the project, Shared Access will provide eligible clubs with turnkey floodlighting solutions at their grounds. As well as creating a valuable improvement for the club’s facilities, the development will also provide an annual income with a significant share of the rental revenue given directly to the club.

Furthermore, if a club already has floodlights, Shared Access would still like the opportunity to discuss the development options, which could include other capital contributions to the club, as well as a share in the annual rental revenue.

Irish FA Head of Marketing and Communications, Geoff Wilson said: “The Irish FA is delighted to facilitate this project for all our clubs. The Shared Access project is a proven way for clubs to benefit from a significant capital investment with the added benefit of long term annual rental income.  Obviously not every club will be eligible for the project and will depend on a number of factors including location; however I would encourage all clubs to register their interest in the initiative.”

To register your club’s interest in the Shared Access project visit www.irishfa.com/sharedaccess or contact the Irish FA’s Club Licensing Department on 028 90 669 458 for an application form.
