THE Irish FA Council met this evening to determine the process and timeframe for the election of new Office Bearers following the resignations of the Association’s Vice President and the Honorary Treasurer and the impending resignation of the President.

The following was agreed:

As an EGM will take place on September 23, proposals before which could alter the number and role of the Association's Office Bearers, nominations for the positions which exist after the EGM will open on September 24 and close on October 8.

Nominations, proposed and seconded by members of the Council are to be made in writing to the Chief Executive.  Council will then meet on October 18 to elect the Office Bearers from those nominations.
