In the hot evening sun of a beautiful summer’s night, football took second place at the Co-operative Insurance Skills Development Centre at Laurelhill Sports Zone, as young Logan Kirk was presented with a signed Northern Ireland football kit.
The kit signed by International Manager Nigel Worthington was a fitting tribute to this young boy who every week comes along rain, hail or shine to support his brothers as they take part in their weekly skills coaching sessions run by the Irish FA Grassroots Department.
Irish FA Grassroots Development Officer for Lisburn, Ken Duncan said: "Logan is a wonderful little boy who inspires everyone who meets him. His constant smile and personality certainly lights up my Tuesday evenings and I know that I speak for everyone who comes along.
“He is one special little boy and we thought we could not finish our latest sessions without acknowledging him in some way. This is but a small token of all our admiration and we trust it expresses our appreciation."
