Nutty Krust camps are a big hit

Nearly 3000 boys and girls have already signed up for Nutty Krust football camps this summer.

The Irish FA, in partnership with Irwin’s Bakery, is holding camps in 71 locations across Northern Ireland throughout this month and next month.

The week-long courses, which form part of the Irish FA’s Grassroots Development Programme, provide opportunities for children aged 5-13 to develop and improve their football skills in a structured environment with professionally trained and vetted staff.

Camps are being held this week in Belfast’s Orangefield Park, Colin Park and Ballysillan Leisure Centre, Ballymena, Enniskillen, Newtownabbey, Strabane, Craigavon, Crossgar, Ballymoney, Limavady and Newcastle – but there are lots more of them to come.

This summer’s schedule includes 12 courses specifically for goalkeepers along with a disability course, which is being staged in Belfast from 15th to 19th August.

Places at the camps are available at a special discounted price if booked online and kids who attend will be awarded a Nutty Krust gift bag and and adidas football.
